A score from 0 to 100
One number for how visible the agency is to AI search, built from the prompt results and the checks.
What it checks
Can I identify you as a specific business? Do other sources agree you exist and are who you say you are? Can I pull a clean answer off your site without working too hard? The audit checks all three, and it starts by asking the engines the question a buyer would.
Seven real buyer prompts, the kind a person actually types, run through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI for your market. You see who got named on each one, including the agency down the street.
If the page is rendered in JavaScript, a crawler that does not run scripts sees nothing. Thirteen percent of the sites we audit hand it an empty page.
GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Bingbot and Google-Extended must not be blocked in robots.txt, and an llms.txt file should tell them what the agency does.
Name, address and phone matching everywhere, a complete Google Business Profile, InsuranceAgency schema instead of generic LocalBusiness, and Person schema for each licensed agent.
One page per line you write, the direct answer in the first sentence, and content about your actual county rather than a national template.
Specific reviews, a claimed BBB profile, and the signals AI engines cross-reference before they trust a business enough to recommend it.
What you get
One number for how visible the agency is to AI search, built from the prompt results and the checks.
For each of the seven prompts and each engine: whether you were named, and who was.
14 of the 25 checklist items, checked automatically, so you know which fixes apply to your site and which you can skip.
If the fundamentals are there, keep your site and work the checklist. If the crawler sees an empty page, or you are named in zero of seven prompts, you will know that too.
The engines disagree with each other and the answer moves from day to day, the way it does for a real buyer. One run is a snapshot, not a verdict. Run it again in a month.
How long, and how much
You give the agency's name and website. The audit runs the seven prompts on the three engines, runs the checks against your site and your listings, and shows the score and the results on screen. There is no charge and nothing to buy to see them.
The honest reason it is free: most agencies have never asked the machines whether they are named, and most of what moves the answer is on a public checklist. If the audit says your current site passes, keep it. If it says the crawler sees an empty page, we also build agency websites, and the result will say so plainly rather than hide it.
Prefer to work through it yourself? The AI Search Checklist is the same 25 items in plain English, most of them free, and how to run the check by hand takes about ten minutes.
Questions
A check of whether AI tools name your agency when a buyer asks for one in your market, and of the things on your site and your listings that decide the answer. Ours runs seven real buyer prompts through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI for your town, records who got named, checks the technical items a crawler needs, and scores the result from 0 to 100.
Yes. There is no charge and nothing to buy to see the result. It exists because most agencies have never checked, and the ones that check usually fix four or five things on their own. If the audit shows the site itself is the problem, we also build agency websites, and we will say so plainly rather than hide it.
About three minutes. You give the agency's name and website, the audit runs the prompts and the checks, and the score and the results come back on screen.
Two things. Whether AI engines name you: seven buyer prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI for your market. And whether your site and listings give them a reason to: readability to a crawler, robots.txt and llms.txt, name-address-phone consistency, your Google Business Profile, InsuranceAgency and Person schema, a page per line of business, answer-first writing, local content, reviews and a BBB profile. That is 14 of the 25 items on the public AI Search Checklist.
Of the 151 independent agencies that have run it, 43 percent were never named in any of their seven prompts, and the agency being audited was named in about 30 percent of all answers. Thirteen percent of audited sites hand a crawler an empty page, 6 percent show a license number, and 35 percent use the InsuranceAgency schema type. The aggregate numbers are public on the audit's insights page.
If you were named in most prompts, keep doing what you are doing and check again in a month. If you were named in a few, look at which prompts missed you; the gaps cluster by line of business. If you were named in none, start with the three questions every engine asks, in order: can it identify you, do other sources agree you exist, and can it read your site. The checklist walks through all 25 fixes, most of them free.
No. The audit is free and stands on its own. If your current site passes, keep it. If it does not, the checklist is public and you can hand it to your current vendor. The website we build is the option for agencies that would rather not do that work themselves.
Every site we build does the whole checklist by default, and we build it before you pay so you can judge it finished. Site is $150 a month, Site + Content is $250. No build fee, no contract.
