Compared on data

Best website companies for insurance agencies, compared on what the audits found.

The pages that rank for this are affiliate lists and vendors ranking themselves first. This one uses two things we can show: the median AI search audit score for every platform that appeared in our 151 audits of independent agency websites, and every published price and contract term, checked on each vendor's own page. We sell one of these, so we are not neutral. Where someone is cheaper or scored higher, the table says so.

What the machine sees

Median AI search audit score by platform.

From 151 audits, 97 of which recorded what the site runs on (May to September 2026). The sample is small and every number is directional. Read each median with the sample size next to it: three sites tell you about those three sites, not about the vendor.

The finding worth remembering is not the medians. It is readability. Every site our crawler could not read was a custom or unidentifiable build. The specialist vendors, all 26 sites, were clean on that check. Unreadable sites scored a median of 31 against 50 for the rest.

Where the specialist platforms fall short is sameness: the template that makes them readable also makes them interchangeable, and the things that separate a 55 from an 85 were the same everywhere. No license numbers on the page (94 percent of all audited sites), no InsuranceAgency schema type (65 percent), one generic page instead of one per line, and nothing about the county the agency writes in.

What they charge

Every published price, setup fee and contract term.

Checked on each vendor's own public page on October 14, 2026. First year is twelve months plus setup. "From" prices are the vendor's starting price; add-ons cost extra. Two vendors are cheaper than we are, and the table says so.

Prices and terms change. If a vendor's page says something different today, its page wins. The long version, with what each tier gets you: insurance agency website builders compared, honestly.

How to choose

Three questions, in order.

  1. Who does the work after launch?

You, a ticket queue, or the vendor. Be honest about the first one. This matters more than the template.

  2. What is the full first-year cost?

Monthly times twelve, plus setup, plus any add-on you will actually need. The setup fee is where the commitment hides.

  3. What happens if you leave?

Domain in your name, an export of your pages, email untouched. Read the vendor's own terms before you sign.

Then ask for three live agency sites each vendor built, look at them on your phone, and run one through the free AI search audit to see whether a crawler can read it.

Stated plainly

Where EffiWise fits.

We build the whole site before you pay and send you a private link. If you want it, Site is $150 a month and Site + Content is $250 with monthly local articles. No setup fee, no contract, nothing to log into; change requests are handled for you, and you get an export of every page if you leave. That is more than Webtricity or InsuranceSplash and less than most custom builds.

We have no audit score in the table above because our sites are not in the corpus. The live sites are public, and you can run any of them through the same free audit the table is built on.

Questions

Before you ask.

What is the best website company for an insurance agency?

There is no single best one; it depends on who will do the work after launch. If you or a staff member will build and update the site, the cheaper template platforms work. If nobody in the agency will, pay a vendor that does the work. In our 151 AI search audits every insurance-specialist platform produced sites a crawler could read; the sites that failed that check were custom or unidentifiable builds.

Which insurance agency website companies did the audits cover?

Of the 97 audited sites with platform data: custom or unidentifiable builds (34 percent), WordPress (20 percent), Forge3 AgencyEdge, Duda, Wix, Advisor Evolved, BrightFire, EZLynx Website, Agency Revolution, ITC/Zywave and GoDaddy. InsuranceSplash and Weebly did not appear at all, so they have no audit score here.

Which scored highest?

Agency Revolution sites had the highest median audit score, 67 out of 100, on three sites. BrightFire's three sites scored a median of 61, Forge3's ten sites a median of 59. Read every median with its sample size: three sites tell you about those three sites.

Which insurance agency website company is cheapest?

Webtricity, at $49 a month if you build the site yourself, with no setup fee and no contract, as of October 14, 2026. InsuranceSplash is next at $89 a month with no setup fee. Both are cheaper than EffiWise at $150 a month.

Where does EffiWise fit?

We build the whole site before you pay and send a private link, then it is $150 a month for Site or $250 for Site + Content, with no setup fee and no contract. We have no audit score in this table because our sites are not in the corpus; the live sites are public and you can run any of them through the same free audit.
